A solar electric system involves any combination of the
two systems listed: Model 1680 & Model 3080. These
systems are based on the Shell Solar Module SP140; this
module has a rated AC output of 125.8 watts.
Model 1680 have 12 (SP140) modules with a total rated
AC output of 1,510 watts. This is a 1.4 kW system with
inverter efficiency calculation included.
Model
3080 have 22 (SP140) modules with a total
rated AC output of 2,758 watts. This is a 2.5 kW system
with
the inverter efficiency calculation included.
It’s important to note that the most cost effective
system will address the higher billing rates appearing
on your bill. Rather than eliminating all of your energy
usage you can size your system to reduce the more expensive
top tiers, this is called “Tier Shaving”. Eliminating
the most expensive rates on your bill will give your best
return on investment.
